Just A Scrappin’ – Challenge #23

Hey guys! Welcome back to another challenge with the Just A Scrappin’ Design Team.

This week’s challenge: Sympathy. Make a gate-fold card, using any colors and a punch.

Here is what I came up with:

Size: A2

Supplies
Stampin’ Up Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White
Stampin’ Up Design Series Paper: Cottage Wall (Retired)
Stampin’ Up Ink: Orchid Opulance (Retired)
Stampin’ Up Punches: Large Oval, Scallop Oval
Sentiment: My Pink Stamper – Sympathy

Directions
1. Start with a piece of cardstock cut at 5.5 X 8.5

2. Score cardstock at 2.125 and again at 6.375. Or, you can score at 2.125, rotate paper 180 degrees and score again at 2.125. You are splitting the 4.25 you usually have in an A2 card.

3. Cut paper layer at 2 X 5.375

*** .375= 3/8 .125= 1/8

I did not use a sentiment on the inside of the card at this time. I wanted to leave it blank to really personalize it at the time I need to use it. That is one of the main reasons I love making cards is that you really can add those little touches that really customize it for that person. Even, unfortunately, with sympathy cards.

I do have to apologize about using retired products. I really do try not to use a lot of retired supplies from Stampin’ Up. I myself hate it when I see something I love and I can’t get my hands on it!

When I was reading this weeks challenge, this is what popped in my head and I really wanted to create it.

So, head on over to Just A Scrappin’ to check out other team members sympathy creations. Don’t forget to create along with us and share your creation on the Just A Scrappin’ blog.
