JAS DT – VALENTINE’S DAY

Welcome my crafty cats!  It’s time for another challenge with the Just A Scrappin’ Design Team.  This week’s challenge was to make a card, layout or project for Valentine’s Day……using NO red!!

This project was for my son’s Valentine’s gift.  I was really SUPER happy with how it came out.  I love the challenge of not using red on this project.  It’s is nice to be able to change up your color scheme so you are not always using what is expected.  I was really excited to find this music paper that coordinated with his ITunes giftcard.   This project also coordinated with the tag I made a couple weeks ago for a challenge.  You can find my tag here.

Supplies
My Creative Time:  Embossed Gift Card Holder Die; Chocolate Greetings Stamp Set
Stampin’ Up: Small Heart Punch
Paper:  My Minds Eye – Lost and Found 2
Hemp by Hemptique

Directions
For the gift card holder, I used a 6X6 pad and it cut a little into the white border at the top of the paper. Since this happened and because I wanted to have a little contrast I cut out one full gift card holder and then I cut out the top part at about 2.5″.  I simply layered it on top and voila!  You need to be careful when layering the die to line up the half circle enclosure at the top.

This project was a lot of fun to make.  I am sorry my project is getting posted late, but my sinuses have been giving me issues and I kind of feel like crud.

When I am feeling better, hopefully next week, I will be able to have my giveaway for my awesome new blog design.
