Silhouette Project Share
Hey guys! I was playing around in Silhouette Studio yesterday and decided to make a few things.
The first thing I made was this adorable bat.
I was thinking, they have Christmas in July, so would it be Halloween in June?!?! Don’t know how that all works out, but it ended up with me getting out the googly eyes and that is never bad!!
Supplies
Black Core’dinations cardstock
Silhouette bat tootsie treat box – Design ID #21492
Googly eyes
American Crafts twine in orange
White paint pen
I really love how he came out. I put his little mouth and eyes on just a little wonky. I didn’t actually put any candy in him since he is just going to keep me company in my scrap room. I can’t look at that face and not smile!
The second project I worked on completes the RAK I am sending out to a fellow You-Tuber.
Supplies
Core’dinations cardstock
Patterned Paper: Recollections
Stampin’ Up Large Oval and Scallop Oval Punches
Cardz TV Stamps
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Silhouette Special Delivery Bear – Design ID #41117
When I first cut the bear, I didn’t realize how big he was. He came out about 8 X 8! It was good because it gave me a chance to figure out the layering before I did it on my project. My best piece of advice would be to ungroup everything in this file, move the base image and then size it based on that. Regroup all the pieces and start cutting. In the SDS, I always fill color for my pieces, so when I go to cut, I know what color paper I need for a certain image. My other piece of advice on this would be to use a similar color to the bear in cutting the base image that you layer on. I wish I would have used the same brown. I just trimmed up a little bit if you could see the white at all.
As you can see I am still having a lot of fun with my Cameo. I love that while it is cutting is sounds like music. It sounds so happy to be cutting 🙂
Thanks for stopping by today! Happy Crafting 🙂
