Valentine Series 2016 #2 Two Hearts One Love…
Hey guys! I was starting to clean up my desk, and by that I mean, find it! Well, that isn’t completely true…maybe like 60/40. I wanted to see more of it ๐ Anyways, runaway train here…I was putting things away and saw a stamp that Jim had recently gotten for me. It has been perched on one of my cubes looking at me. I thought for some strange reason, “I should make a card.” It’s not like I do that frequently or anything?!?! So, a little surprise for when he goes for his coffee in the morning. Well, in four hours. He actually gets up EARLY morning for work!!
I still have my The Stamps of Life October 2015 on my desk. SHOCKER! So, I brought out the patterned paper. I have to admit I chose the little hearts paper, but picked the color for each of the hearts based on what I had leftover from my “Thanks” card the other day. I am so hoarding every single scrap of this paper. I tried to make a mat out of some of the Storm colored cardstock from the kit and it backfired, badly. I then panicked about wasting more paper and decided to avoid this by using Melon Mambo from Stampin’ Up for the card base. I really love how it all worked out in the end ๐
I used the stitched heart from 100% Sweetness Stamp Set by My Creative Time. Added a little Hemp Twine from Hemptique and stamped my sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
That is really all that went into this card. Ultimately, very simple card. Minus the panic attack for wasting paper from one of these kits! This is the first cardstock I used and it was U-G-L-Y! Will definitely be a little gun shy to touch the cardstock again. You all know I will and it will be perfect ๐
Thanks for stopping by!! Until next time, happy crafting ๐
