Mother’s Day
Hello all! It’s been awhile, looks like about 2 months. A lot has happened in the two months, mostly I’ve been in a lot of pain. Last month, unfortunately, we had to put my fur-sister Lily to sleep. She suffered from a horrific disease called Cushing’s. I’m heartbroken, but know it was what had to happen. It really stinks to be an adult human sometimes.
But amidst all this, my mother means the world to me and I wanted to make her a card. So, I told the pain to be quiet (didn’t work) and I got to work. I went with a pretty simple card, but still took some time to get the creative process to kick in.
I used Simple Stories DIY stack because my mom loves bright colors, especially pink! I used my Stampin’ Up heart punch on SU Melon Mambo cardstock. I then attacked it with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle, who doesn’t love glitter and shine?!?!
The banner and sentiment are from My Creative Time. I stamped the sentiment in My Pink Stamper Snowflake White Ink.
On the inside I used My Favorite Things Gift Card Grooves Dies. The sentiment comes from My Creative Time’s Tweet Me Stamp Set, same as the sentiment on the front. This was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I actually masked the stamp off as my son and I are giving one card. As a side note, I love how the gift cards together say “Love Wendy’s”. Cracks me up 🙂
