Altenew Journey: All About Layering 1 – Lesson 2
The second card I used the beautiful Altenew Antique Roses. For this card, I wanted to show the wonderful dimension you get when you stamp some of the images onto the cardstock and others are die-cuts. I added further dimension with the addition of foam tape to the purple flower. That gives three levels of dimension on one card! Such a simple process to get an amazing result. For my ink selection this time I used two different families. The smaller roses were stamped with the Glacier Caves family. I used all four inks in this family: Arctic, Caribbean Sky, Persian Blue and Sapphire. Blue is my absolute favorite color, so this is one family you will see a lot! I have to fight not to use it on every project, lol! My large beautiful Rose was stamped with the Enchanted Garden Family: Wisteria, Hydrangea, Ultraviolet, and Andromeda. My leaves were stamped with my favorite green family, Green Fields: Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, and Evergreen. The sentiment is from another wonderful Altenew set Playful Blooms. I will definitely be using the flowers in this set in an upcoming project. I loved the way the silver embossing powder gave a special feel to the card. I also added three sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. I am not great at adding sequins yet, but I’m trying to get better. That is one of the wonderful things I have found already with the AECP program. I’m trying new things with guidance from professionals in our field. Hopefully, after seeing this card, you will try it as well!
