The final card I will share with you today is one of my favorites that I have made so far. Although, I keep saying that and then I make a new favorite! I again used the Build-A-Flower: Begonia, it’s just so gorgeous! I wanted to achieve two things, I loved the pop of the aqua color against the yellow and I added dimension by popping up my middle flower. The sentiment is from Build-A-Flower: Canterbury Bells. You will be seeing the flowers used in an upcoming card. The flowers that were stamped onto the card are from the Golden Sunset family. I used Sunray, Chamomile, and Snapdragon. I again pulled in the beautiful Sea Shore family for my dimensional flower. From this family I used: Mountain Mist, Volcano Lake and Lagoon. My sentiment was stamped with embossing ink and embossed with gold embossing powder for a touch of elegance these flowers deserve! I cut that into a small banner and popped it towards the bottom of my flower. Originally I was going to put it in the middle of the flower, but I just couldn’t cover up the amazing detail.
I have been crafting now for 20 years, WOW! I just shocked myself with that math, lol!! Even though I have been crafting for so long, this class has been amazing. Sometimes when we accumulate crafting supplies and learn new skills we forget ones. Things in our craft room get pushed back for the new supplies and we trade today’s favorite technique for a newer one. This class reminded me of how to look at my stamps. You can achieve so many looks with limited supplies. While we all want to have the latest and greatest, sometimes it is fun to pare down. Focus on one stamp set and some inks to see what looks you can achieve. Even seasoned crafters can get so much out of this class.
