Hello and thank you for joining me today. Sorry, it has been so long since my last post. I have been working hard in the background. I submitted over 150 cards to card drives to send to our seniors and healthcare workers. I have also been working on my classes from Altenew Academy to become a certified educator. This is what I have to share with you today, the class is All About Layering 2. This is a wonderful class that follows up on All About Layering 1, showing you how to layer these beautiful stamps and how to make them stand out!
For this card, I started with my favorite Altenew stamp set of all time,
Antique Roses. As of today, the bundle is on sale!! You even get the masks, which I highly recommend. I actually bought two of the dies and masks. When I want to mass-produce cards, this is absolutely the one I reach for. I stamped the roses onto a piece of SSS (Simon Says Stamp) Audrey Blue cardstock. I love how the roses pop off this paper, the contrast in colors is beautiful! For the roses, I used the
Enchanted Garden family of inks. This family includes Wisteria, Hydrangea, Ultraviolet, and Andromeda. The beautiful frame from the
Sweet Friend stamp set was stamped onto vellum using
Embossing Ink and
Antique Silver Crisp Embossing Powder. This powder is one of my absolute favorites! I then took the coordinating die to cut it out.
For my sentiment, I used the
Big World stamp set. This set is so versatile and you will see it throughout my courses with Altenew. It was a set that I honestly didn’t think I would use often and I reach for it constantly! It is amazing how things you think you will not use become your go-to! For my final bit of embellishment, I added some enamel dots from the
Rock Collection. Such a finishing touch! I mounted my card panel to Stampin’ Up’s Concord Crush and a SSS Fog notecard. The dimensions of this card are different for me. When I was choosing cardstock, I found this piece and decided to make it work! I really like the layout. I think that is one of the greatest things I am learning through this process. I am learning to look at what I have and create things I haven’t thought of in the past. My creativity and productivity have been amazing. These classes give you so much inspiration. The only downside is, there is not enough time in the day to create everything these classes inspire!
I look forward to seeing you in the next post, until then, happy crafting!
