Altenew Academy – Let It Shine

Hello and welcome!  Today I am here to share a project I created for the Altenew Academy class Let It Shine.  I will be honest, this is one of my favorites.  I love shiny!!!

I started with the Beautiful Peony stamp set which is absolutely gorgeous!  I heat embossed the flowers with Versafine Onyx black ink and then used Crystal Clear Crisp Embossing Powder.   The heat embossing just adds a little dimension to the card.  I love the look of the black against the white.  When I read shine, I thought of two things, my Altenew Metallic Watercolor set and my Antique Gold Metallic Ink Spray.  I will warn you, I have been adding this gold to everything lately, it is just so beautiful and adds a touch of elegance and class to a project.  Such a simple addition does so much!!! I used the “messy” watercoloring technique to fill in the leaves with the beautiful green watercolor.  The sentiment is embossed with Altenew’s Antique Gold Crisp Embossing powder and comes from Altenew’s Flower Vine Stamp Set.  I reach for this stamp set frequently for the wonderful sentiments on here.  I have not used the flower image yet, but soon! I added a piece of green glitter cardstock from SSS to let the sentiment pop off the card front.
It has been an honor to have you join me today!  I look forward to the next project to share with you.  Share with me, what are you obsessed with in your crafty space?
Until next time, happy crafting!
