Altenew card share – Make your own backgrounds
Hello and welcome! Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to spend with me. Today I have a couple of cards I quickly made for my mother. Our family has a dear friend that was just given six months to live. When you hear that news, there are no words, but it is always nice to hear someone is thinking of you. Hopefully, this will brighten her day for a moment.
I started with Neenah Solar White, 80# cardstock. I chose two of my absolute favorite inks from the Rock Collection Family, Limestone, and Pure Graphite. I used a combination of three stamp sets for both of these cards. The background was stamped in the Limestone ink with the large leaf image from Retro Plantines. For one card I filled the background by turning the stamp to fit the images together. The other card I intersected the image, but I simply went straight down both sides. This image is perfect for intersecting. It was made for making your own backgrounds! The thinking of you sentiment was stamped in Pure Graphite ink and is from Sincere Greetings. The other sentiments were also stamped in Pure Graphite ink. The large hello comes from Blooming Bouquet and the word friend comes from Beautiful Lady.
I love how these cards are super simple, but I love the effect I achieved. Take out a stamp set and try making a background with it. Use different colors and see what you like best.
