Hello everyone and thank you for sharing your day with me. In Maine today it snowed! It’s always so pretty when it happens somewhere else, lol! On a cold, snowy day I thought I would create three simple stenciled cards. I was inspired by seeing Altenew offered a free The Alphabet stencil with physical purchase today.
I started by stenciling my backgrounds. I used Blush and Limestone for my ink blending. My “HI” phrase was blended with Pure Graphite ink. I also use Antique Gold Pigment ink for my final card.
My first card used the Linear stencil with Blush ink. It is very light, but I feel the light color and delicate stencil make a beautiful outcome! It really allows the word HI to pop.
In order to get my HI in the correct place on every card I used my grid transparency to line it up.
Once I had it where I wanted it, I folded the transparency back to the left and put my stencil back down to ink blend. Using painters tape to create hinges helps immensely!
For my second card I used the Elegant Swirls stencil for my background with Limestone ink.
My third card is extremely simple. I thought about adding splatter or even using the Splatter stencil. I really ended up loving the simplicity. There are some times when you have to force your self not to add anything else. This was one of those times…sequins, enamel dots….so many pretty things were popping into my head. I thought with the sentiment I used from Penned Rose it was fitting to be simple. The Antique Gold pigment ink gave it that extra bit for me. ❤️
Thank you again for sharing your crafty time with me. I hope you will bring out some of your stencils and try some simple cards.
Until next time, stay safe and happy crafting!
