Simple Card Sunday

I just received my 2×3 stamp set from Altenew and was super excited to create with it. I was able to make two beautiful cards with the same card panel.

Start by white heat embossing the image repeatedly onto a Neenah Solar White 80# card stock panel. Once cool I began to ink blend with the new Martian Terrain family of inks onto my panel. Once the blending was complete, I wiped the panel with a microfiber cloth have the white heat embossing show through.

I chose to use the Mega “A” for Altenew :). I took the Mega “A” letter and die-cut it from the completed front panel. While I was die-cutting I also die-cut six additional from Neenah Solar White 80# card stock and one from Gold Foil card stock.

I adhered three of the letters together, putting the gold foil card stock onto top. I aligned the letter into the die cut and put the center of the “A” back in place. I adhered the gold foil A onto the panel. Card one is complete! But we have that gorgeous die-cut “A” from the ink blended panel. I decided to use the new Ribbon Waves embossing folder to add interest and texture to my background without taking away from my gorgeous letter A. I adhered three of the letter “A” die-cuts together and then adhered the ink blended “A” to the top.

It may seem like there are a lot of steps and you may wonder why I consider this simple. I think the ink blending is an easy and quick technique. I would consider these cards simple, but they definitely pack a punch!
