Simple Card Sunday

Happy Sunday all! I’m excited to share with you a simple card that you can create. I have created a YouTube video to show how to assemble this simple, but beautiful card. I share some further ideas of how you could take this card to the next level.

My order from Altenew came yesterday with items from the latest release Wondrous World. I was stoked by the new Floral Lace Die. I have so many ideas for future projects with this die. It is approximately 4.25 x 9.6, which makes it a wonderful choice for slimline cards. In this release there was a Nested Rectangle die set that can also help you create beautiful layers for your slimline cards.

I started by die-cutting the Floral Lace die twice from Neenah Solar White 80# card stock. I sprayed the back with an adhesive and laid the die-cut onto my card front. I then used the second die-cut to fill in the gaps that I had.

I wanted to keep the sentiment simple so I used “hugs” from the Script Words die set. I cut it three times out of Dark Gray card stock and layered them together.

This card would be great for any occasion. You may just need to change your sentiment, depending on the occasion.
