Simple Card Sunday
As you can imagine, I love making cards! I love that every card is a blank canvas to express my creativity. While I do love creating very intricate cards, I also love cards that come together SUPER quick.
I received this stamp set free with purchase. I always love getting these little sets, but never pull them out! I need to use these mini sets more, they are so versatile and a great price point.
I started by stamping Crafting Essentials main image over my Moon Rock card stock with Pure Graphite ink. I placed a strip of gold glitter tape that was slightly larger than my card stock sentiment strip. My sentiment strip was stamped onto Neenah Solar White 80# card stock with Obsidian Pigment ink. I added the strip with thin 3D foam squares to finish the card.
For my second card, you may think “This is not a simple card!”. For me I still consider this to be a simple card. I stamped a bunch of the images and colored them with artist markers while watching television. It was a relaxing process for me, so that makes it simple!
The images were stamped with Pure Graphite ink onto Neenah Solar White 80# card stock. I colored these images with numerous artist markers. Once they were colored, I used the coordinating die to die-cut the images.
I started with an A2 piece of Spicy Yogurt card stock. I started with the sentiment as I knew I wanted to use foam tape later. I centered my sentiment that comes from the Crafty Life stamp set on my card panel. I stamped the sentiment in Obsidian Pigment ink and heat embossed with Crystal Clear embossing powder. Next, I arranged my die-cuts on the card front until I was happy with their arrangement. I used Press and Seal to pick up the die-cuts and card front. I then used a pencil to outline the edges of the card stock. Then I peeled the card front off the piece of Press and Seal. I applied foam tape to the back of the die-cuts, being cautious of the lines I drew that indicate the edge of the card front. I then peeled all of the foam tape backing strips off and applied to my card front. Oreo enjoyed playing with the backing material of the foam tape!
I trimmed off any of the pieces that were hanging off my card panel. I then added a few little pieces onto the card panel flat.
I hope these cards will encourage you to pull out some of the mini stamp sets and see what you can create. I love the Altenew gives some of these sets away free with any order. It allows me an opportunity to create with a set I may not have purchased myself. I always love finding surprises like that. A set that I don’t think is my style and then, I LOVE IT!
Thank you for joining me today. Until next time, stay safe, healthy and happy crafting!
