Full Release

The hot foil plates are HERE!!! I’m so excited — so I combined two of them on this card! I started with the gorgeous Gilded Rose hot foil plate. I used Spicy Yogurt for my card panel and Champagne foil from Spellbinders. To do all of my foiling, I have the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System. I do have to add a folded piece of 110# cardstock when I run it through my die-cut machine to get images that I am happy with. Definitely experiment with your machine to see what works best for your machine. Next I used the Sentiment Banners Hot Foil Plate and Sentiment Banners Cover Die to cut foil and cut my sentiment banner. Spectacular Adventures stamp set was on my desk, so I used a sentiment from that set. I love how this set has options to leave it simply foiled or you can add ink blending/stenciling. I will have a card later this week showing the blending and using your plate as a letterpress.

Lately I have been in love with ink blending, it even topped over watercolor! When I saw this Anemone Branch stencil I was so excited to create a slimline card with it. I started by masking off where my vase would be so that I did not get the dark color — I wanted my vase to be opaque. It would definitely be fun to create one with the branches showing, but that is another project for another day! You know there are always more! For my colors, I used Winter Lake, Arctic Mountain, Silver Stone, Pure Graphite, Espresso, Firefly, Mountain Pine, and Fresh Lemon. My sentiment comes from Apothecary Labels. I love the look of two different fonts!

For the final project I will share today, I used the new Sunburst Doily Hot Foil Plate and Die. I love the coordinating die comes with the hot foil plate! I started out with Spicy Yogurt cardstock again. My foil was still from Spellbinders, it is the rainbow foil — you guys knew there would be a rainbow today, right?!?!

After I foiled my image I thought it would be fun to create a shaped card since we were given the die. I folded a piece of Spicy Yogurt cardstock and put the apex of the die just above the fold of the cardstock. Once the card base was die-cut, I scored from a point on the upper left to lower right. I reinforced the fold of the front of the card base. I applied adhesive to the bottom of my Sunburst die-cut and applied to the card base. This allows the card to fold flat for mailing, but also to stand up as seen in the photo above.

Keep an eye out as I have a few more projects I will be sharing with you on social media over the coming week!!!
