Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Himalayan Poppy Outline Stamp Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($200 in Total Prizes)

Hello everyone I am so excited to share my project with you celebrating some AMAZING additions to the Altenew shop! Before we get to the new products, let’s make sure you are on the right stop for the hop. You should have arrived from my dear friend Lilith Eeckels blog. If you didn’t, head to the Altenew Card Blog for the complete lineup and a project by the inspiring Erum.

Paint-A-Flower: Himalayan Poppy Outline Stamp Set & Hawaiian Shores Brush & Fine Tip Pens Bundle
Woodless Coloring Pencils
Monochrome Shading Pencils

For my package, I received the Paint-A-Flower: Himalayan Poppy Outline Stamp Set & Hawaiian Shores Brush & Fine Tip Pens Bundle.

I tested these markers on lots of cardstock and I found the best paper was X-Press IT Blending Card. These seemed to work best with smoother cardstock than my typical Neenah. This is what worked for me, there may be some paper that works better for you. Remember we all color differently. I also found using a flicking motion worked best for me to layer my colors.

I stamped my image with Pure Graphite ink. I prefer this over the starkness of a black ink. My flower was colored with Silver Stone, Crimson, and Pure Graphite for the center. The Silver Stone marker worked well adding a deeper tone to my floral. For my flower centers I just added dots over where the centers would be.

My leaves used Firefly, Just Green and Evergreen. I used the same flicking motion, being careful not to overwork areas. I found in my coloring, I have to be careful about overworking with these markers. As I practice, I’m sure I will get better. And we know that Altenew will bring out more colors to get different color combos.

My sentiment came from the set and was stamped with Obsidian Pigment ink.

Would you like to see a bonus card? Head over to my IG to see another card using this set!

I will post projects when I get the Monochrome Shading Pencils and Woodless Coloring Pencils in my crafty space. I am so excited to work with them — I adore the Woodless Watercolor pencils!
