Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Sunburst Azalea Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($200 in total prizes)
Hello everyone and welcome to this amazing hop! You should have arrived from the blog of Carol Hintermeier. To start at the beginning, head over to the Altenew Card Blog.
This card actually began with my background first, does that ever happen to you? This was leftover from my projects using the new Build-A-Flower: Giant Bellflower. I stamped the leaf image with Silverstone crisp dye ink onto an A2 Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110# panel. Florals were created with cardstock listed below. A key for me to this was adding double-sided adhesive to the cardstock. The final layer of the floral was added with foam tape. The sentiment is from the latest and greatest Sentiment Strips 3, stamped with Obsidian Pigment Ink. I never make birthday cards and so many other crafters seem to — I am working on making more.
Floral: Gradient Cardstock: Summer Afternoon, Jet Black — Leaves: Emerald (Sea Shore Gradient Cardstock)
This card as well began from the leftover pile. The background was also stamped with the leaf image from Build-A-Flower: Giant Bellflower set with Limestone crisp dye ink. I decided to create a focal area to place my floral arrangement. I began by using Organic Linen 3D embossing folder before I die-cut it with the largest Nesting Label die. Foam tape was added to the back of the Nesting Label die-cut and adhered to the A2 panel.
I decided to leave this card without a sentiment. I like to send notecards sometimes, in that case the message of the card is really on the inside with the personal message I write.
Floral: Gradient Cardstock: Summer Afternoon, Jet Black — Leaves: Mountain Mist, Volcano Lake (Sea Shore Gradient Cardstock)

Well done, you! I love the yellow – people don’t realize there are actually yellow azaleas! Now if we could only get Mother Nature to give us aqua leaves… lol

Your card is lovely, I am thinking it may a tribute to Ukraine. Nice to use up a leftover background, yay when that happens.
