Altenew Craft-A-Flower: African Daisy Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello everyone and thank you so much for joining me today. You should have started at the Altenew Card Blog and arrived here from the blog of the amazing Jenny Colaccicco.

For my project this month I was inspired by an IG reel by our amazing Erum Tasneem. I don’t generally think of watercolor with the Craft-A-Flower, but Erum inspired me to “give it a whirl.” Bonus points if you can tell me where that quote is from, lol!

I used the 24 pan watercolors set to create my project. I simply added water to the pans I wanted to use and painted the pigment onto A2 watercolor sheets. Those are my absolute favorite watercolor paper, hands down! I also love the convenience as I generally make A2-sized projects. The colors used are listed below. My sentiment came from what was on my desk, (lol), the gorgeous BAF: Honeysuckle! The sentiment was stamped with Obsidian pigment ink before being die-cut with A Featured Sentiments die. Foam tape was added between the second and third layers. The top layer of the two larger flowers was curled using my bone folder. The panel was splattered with Pure White ink spray before adhering my sentiment.

Florals: Tea Party, Cherry Blossom, and Red Sunset; Centers: Paper Bag, Warm & Cozy, and Pocketful of Sunshine

Leaves: Tropical Forest

Background: Starry Night
