Altenew 8th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 5 + Giveaway (over $2,000 in Total Prizes)

Hello everyone and thank you so much for joining me today! You should have started at the Altenew Card Blog and arrived here from the blog of the amazing Amber Rain Davis.

Of course, I wanted to make this project extra, extra special! I really don’t have all the words to explain how Altenew has changed in my life. I have become part of a crafty community that is beyond words amazing! I am so grateful for my Altenew family, the amazing products they create, and the lives they have brought together. Altenew was my salvation when my husband was going through cancer treatments as it carved two hours a week out, just for me. And they were my motivation for getting out of bed some days after I lost my husband to cancer. I feel like this company truly saved my life. I love all of you from the Operations Team, all staff at Altenew, my fellow educators, and my fellow customers. I have developed an amazing group of friends, all because one day I bought a stamp set. If you guys don’t know, I host a free workshop every Saturday where we share our love of Altenew. I will have a two-year anniversary this November.

For my project, I decided to use All Things A. I heat embossed the image onto a piece of 80# Neenah Classic Crest cardstock to create an emboss resist on my project. When deciding on colors, I decided to go with one of my favorite families – Sea Shore to create an ombre effect. Once that was complete, I used the coordinating die to cut out my image. I added foam tape across the “A” and set it aside to complete my panel.

I chose a fitting sentiment and stamped it with Obsidian using the placement of my “A” as a guide. Once that was dry, I ran my Spicy Yogurt panel through my die-cut machine with Brick Wall 3D EF. Finally, I decided I wanted to use the eight as an exponent. Altenew to the eighth degree! Using Gilded glitter cardstock I die-cut using the eight from Bold Numerals. Foam tape was added to the back of the eight before adhering the “A” and the eight to my panel.
