Altenew Craft Your Life Project Kit: Fragrant Florals Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)
Hello everyone and thank you so much for joining me today. You should have started at the Altenew Card Blog and arrived here from the blog of the amazing Amy Hill.
This image is so super large and gorgeous!!! I had so much fun working on this project. It is great when images are small because you can go super, duper fast. However, I do enjoy projects that take a bit more time. Kits like this really allow me to relax and unwind. How can you be stressed out with gorgeous florals and a blending tool in your hand?!? I stamped the image with Obisidan onto a panel of Moonrock cardstock. The colors I used on the image are listed below. I did add details with my blending tools. I always try to start blending where it would be darker on my image. This adds detail and depth without really having to think about it! Once the image was colored I decided to do partial die-cutting for my panel. I could not cut this image in two — it just felt wrong, ya know? I aligned the part I wanted to cut and staked it onto my machine. I ran the image through and use my scissors to trim off any excess areas. To really elevate this image I knew I wanted to add some bling and shininess! I turned to my favorite Gilded glitter cardstock, and it was PERFECT! I stamped a sentiment from the set with Obsidian before heat embossing with Crystal Clear embossing powder, and finally, die-cutting with Featured Sentiments die.
