Altenew June 2022 Marvelous Monthly Series Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)
Hello everyone, and thank you so much for joining me today. You should have started at the Altenew Card Blog and arrived here from the blog of Natasha Davies.
Are you excited about the June Marvelous Monthly release? Check out the full release below.
Old habits die hard, so I will go through these in the order they used to be released. First up is the Build-A-Garden Nature’s Magic. This set is gorgeous, and I love that we get two different arrangements. I decided to use artist markers to color this image. You will be seeing lots of artist markers. I have been on a kick lately. Do you guys go through phases with different mediums? The florals: Pocketful of Sunshine; Leaves: Tropical Forest; and the Flower Centers: Delectable Delights. Once colored, I used the coordinating die to die-cut the image. I used an A2 piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# with the Organic Linen 3D embossing folder. I heat embossed with Pure White embossing powder onto Jet Black cardstock with a sentiment from the set. I added a strip of Dazzling Diamonds and Essential Black and White paper to add interest.
Next up in the old order would be the Craft-A-Flower Cape Marguerite. I die-cut all of the pieces from Spicy Yogurt cardstock. I assembled the flowers using the new and improved key and arrow guides and the numbers. I used Pastel Sunrise to add color to the flowers, Fresh Lemon for the flower centers, and Misty Moor for the leaves. I embossed a navy panel with Organic Linen 3D embossing folder before arranging my florals and leaves. I used the Signature Words “thanks” cut from a rose-colored metallic cardstock for my sentiment.
Next up in the old rotation would be the Craft Your Life Project Kit. Introducing Silk Art! I will teach a class creating with this kit later in the month. Find out more here about that class. I used the embossing folder from the kit with Spicy Yogurt cardstock. I loved the panel with no color, and it was delicate and beautiful. I decided for this project to add color with Canyon Clay, Misty Moor, and Fresh Lemon with the stencil. Once I was done stenciling, I chose one of the beautiful sentiments in the set with Rose Gold embossing powder onto embossing ink.
Next up, the Mini Delight: Hooray! My card is a play on a song. My husband and I love music, and I often think of life through a song. Does anyone have a guess? I will let you know this time. Last time, I left you hanging. Huey Lewis and the News Hip to Be Square. Hopefully, that gives you a little chuckle. For the stamping, I used Volcano Lake and Lagoon. The embossing folder is Angled Mosaic with Dazzling Diamonds Bold Caps Alpha 2B. I layered this all onto a piece of Lagoon cardstock.
Final up in the lineup of releases, but never least, is the Paint-A-Flower. This month we have the fantastic Flowering Dogwood. Someone left out the artist markers, and I used them again! Same colors, Pocketful of Sunshine and Delectable Delights. I love the yellow and brown combination. I used a strip of Gilded Glitter Cardstock to finish the panel under my sentiment and three clusters of Satin Gold sequins. The panel was added to an A2 card front. I used a large blending tool with Espresso ink to get the dark brown color.
