Altenew July 2022 Summer Sunshine Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

Hello all! I am super honored and excited to be here to share this amazing release with you. This hop began over at the Altenew Card Blog. You should have arrived here from Michelle Short’s blog.

This set has a special place in my heart! I love the little faces you can add to the variety of fruit options and puns!

The panel is 4 X 4, not my normal for sure, but it is fun to step out of the crafty box sometimes. I stamped the fruit using the ink combinations below. Added the sentiment with Obsidian Pigment ink before adhering the panel to a piece of 4.25 X 4.25 Forest Glades cardstock panel.

Citrus Burst, Fresh Lemon, Lime, Limeade, Obsidian Pigment Ink

I absolutely adore the beach as many of you know. The chair in the stamped image matches the ones my husband and I had on the top of our wedding cake. This set brings back wonderful memories for me. The background was created using the shell images from the set with Sand Dunes ink. For the rest of the card I used the Rainbow Prism ink cube set, my mini blending brushes, and the coordinating stencil. I chose my sentiment and stamped it with Obsidian pigment ink and then adhered my stamped image with foam tape. Never overlook those accompanying stamps in the set!

For the next two cards, they are a two-for! I stamped a 5.50 X 8.5 panel of Spicy Yogurt cardstock with all three of the Monsteras in the set with Olive ink. I love using images to create panels – as you can see by three of my cards today 🙂

I used one of the hearts from All the Hearts die set to create my shaker window. I FINALLY decided on a sentiment, there are so many to choose from!!! I stamped this image with embossing ink and heat set with Antique Gold emobssing powder onto vellum. I used the ultra sticky tape to adhere the vellum panel to the back of the card panel. I covered the back with foam tape making sure to create a section to hold my sequins. I really loved how the Antique Gold and Satin White looked in the shaker panel.

I had the heart left over from the previous card and couldn’t bear to throw it away. I decided to use double-sided adhesive onto a piece of vellum before heat setting with Antique Gold embossing ink. I die cut the vellum with the same heart die I used for the shaker in the previous card. I adhered the vellum heart over the die-cut piece with the Monsteras on it.

My card panel is another piece of Spicy Yogurt cardstock that was embossed with Hosta 3D embossing folder. I added the heart to the panel with foam tape to complete the card.

Never throw away those extra pieces, you never know when they might come in handy.
