Altenew July 2022 Summer Love Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in Total Prizes!)

Hello everyone, and thank you for joining me today! I am so excited to share these projects with you. I greatly enjoyed focusing on these amazing folders in this release! There are so many times I love to let the individual products take center stage.

If you are on the hop, you should have begun at the Altenew Card Blog and should have arrived from the blog of Terri Koszler.

Fantasy Emblem is such a beautiful 3D embossing folder! I wanted to showcase the simplistic beauty of this folder. I embossed it with Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock and the newer Brushed Rose cardstock — which is my absolute favorite of the release. I trimmed 1/4″ off the top and bottom and 1/2″ off the right-hand side. I strongly considered where to put the sentiment or whether I should use one. I finally settled on putting it dead center of the embossing folder. Sometimes a CAS card can take a lot of restraint, and other times it simply comes together. Does that happen in your space as well? I would love to know in the comments.

I used the amazing new Sunshine Blooms 3D embossing folder with my artist markers for this project. I have been enjoying this coloring medium lately. I will emboss or stamp many images and then take them with me when I sit in front of the television. For my floral, I used Red Cosmos and Pocketful of Sunshine. My leaves were colored with Tropical Forest. I chose a sentiment from my extras pile; voila, my card was complete.

For this project, I used Flower Vines 3D embossing folder with Red Cosmos, Pocketful of Sunshine, and Tropical Forest artist markers. I finished this project by adding a sentiment from Sentiment Strips 3.

I love the simplicity of this card! I began with Tiled Chevron and then looked through my extra bin. I have been trying to add items where I can. The Flower Vines image was colored with artist markers for a sympathy card, and the happy birthday came from the Happy Sentiments set. It was heat embossed with Antique Gold embossing powder after being stamped with embossing ink. The simplicity of this 3D embossing folder will make it a well-used one in my space.
