Altenew August 2022 Endless Ambition Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in Total Prizes!)

Hello everyone, and thank you so much for joining me today! I am so excited to share my projects with you! This hop began at the Altenew Card Blog, and you should have arrived from the blog of Reiko Tsuchida.

I chose the new Curtain Leaves cover die as the first product to showcase. I ran a piece of Spicy Yogurt covered with double-sided adhesive through my die-cut machine. When I pulled off the backing paper, some of the bits stayed in the panel — I LOVED IT! I left those in and adhered to a card panel. I die-cut Itty Bitty Branches with Brushed Gold cardstock. For my sentiment, I chose to use Mega Label Love, stamped with brown pigment ink and trimmed out with my scissors. Finally, I arranged my die-cut pieces behind the sentiment.

This Flower Wreath hot foil plate is stunning with or without ink! I used Spicy Yogurt cardstock as my base again for the panel and my sentiment from Sweet Sentiments. I intended to add ink blending to the image but could not do it! I love that we are given so many options to help foster our creativity 😊

Another example of the hot foil plate used without the coordinating stencil. Again, I intended to add the ink blending with the stencil, but it was so pretty I had to stop! And ultimately, sometimes, we need to know when to stop. I used rainbow foil on Spicy Yogurt cardstock. The sentiments are from Sentiment Strips 3, stamped onto Spicy Yogurt with Obsidian pigment ink. I trimmed the sentiments into sections before adhering to rainbow holographic cardstock.

Do you go through periods using one supply? I couldn’t put down my artist markers in the last release, and my Spicy Yogurt cardstock was in this release. I started with the Flowery Bouquet hot foil plate, and I was super tough — I added ink blending 🙂 I used Martian Terrain, Northern Shore, Natures Wonders, and Fresh Lemon from Pocketful of Sunshine. I added the panel to a piece of Navy cardstock to finish the project.

For my final project, I created using the gorgeous Timeless Tulips. During the retreat, I focused on the other large image of the set, so I thought it would be fun to use this image. I took some downtime in front of the television set with my artist markers.

Artist Markers: Red Cosmos, Warm & Cozy, Pocketful of Sunshine, Tropical Forest, Sea Shore, Shades of Purple, and Coffee Break

Once the image was colored, I used the Organic Linen 3D embossing folder on a piece of Neenah Solar White Classic Crest cardstock. I stamped a sentiment from the set onto a scrap of paper left over with my Obsidian pigment ink and trimmed the box down. I created a shadow behind with Dazzling Diamonds glitter cardstock. I tucked the image behind the sentiment box and adhered it with foam tape.
