Altenew – Beautiful Day

Hello everyone and thanks for sharing your day with me.  I’m so excited and nervous today as I have my final exam for the Altenew Educators program.  It has been an incredible journey so far and I’m excited to see what comes next.

For today’s card I used leftovers from my “extras” cup.  Honestly, it’s becoming more a drawer!  I really need to make cards using just the extras someday.
I used the gorgeous floral from Beautiful Day.  Many times, as this instance I like to not stamp the outline image.  I feel it gives such a delicate look.  I also did not stamp the base layer, I only used the final two stamps (or 3 & 4) in normal order.  I did the same with the leaf image, only using the detail layer.  My flower was stamped with Limestone and Silver Stone from the Rock Collection family.  My leaves were stamped with my other favorite Frayed Leaf from Green Fields.
I used embossing ink and Platinum embossing powder on vellum for my leaf sprigs.  I love the look vellum adds.  I used the beautiful Dotted Swirls debossing cover die on Pale Gray card stock.
I added a little dimension by popping my flower up.  I love how this came out!  And it came out of the recycling/extra pile.
Thank you again for sharing your crafty time with me.  Stay safe and until next time, happy crafting!
