Altenew June 2022 Fine & Dandy Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)
Hello everyone, and thank you so much for joining me today. You should have started at the Altenew Card Blog and arrived here from the blog of the amazing Erum Tasneem.
The Charming Foliage set was so much fun! Imagine giving a five-year-old child crayons and a coloring book! I wanted to make these florals in all the colors. I used gradient cardstock in Summer Afternoon, Sea Shore, and Red Cosmos. I added the Brushed Rose, one of my new favorite cardstock, die-cut with Itty Branches Die set. My patterned cardstock background is from the Essential Black and White paper pack. I decided to go way out of the box and cut my panel at 3.75 X 5. I added foam tape to the back of the panel before adhering to a Neenah Solar White Classic Crest 80# A2 panel.
This project highlights the new Freesia Hot Foil Plate, Stencil, and Die. To begin, the hot foil plate was used with gold foil. Next, I used the stencil with Pocketful of Sunshine ink family and Sea Forest with a mini blending tool. When I was done ink blending, I used the coordinating die to cut the image. I used the Dotty Circles 3D embossing folder for my panel with a piece of Neenah Solar White Classic Crest 80# cardstock. My sentiment uses Navy cardstock with Mighty Alphabet dies. These dies are one of my favorites as they are only one inch wide. Finally, my Freesia was adhered with Instant Dimension foam tape.
This project used two new items from the release, Exquisite Marble and Delight Flowers Hot Foil Plates. To begin, I used gold hot foil with the Exquisite Marble plate onto a piece of patterned paper from the Altenew Blends (Martian Terrain) paper pack. Next, I added gold hot foil to a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock with the Delightful Flowers Hot Foil Plate. Since I didn’t have a coordinating die, I fussy cut my image, added foam tape, and adhered to my panel. My final addition was my sentiment from Bold Sentiments, which was in the earlier release this month.
For my final project, I went a little wild with color! I wasn’t sure about this card when I made it, but it is now one of my favorite projects. Does that happen to you guys? I began with an A2 panel of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock and purple foil. I added the foil to my panel using my Exquisite Marble Hot Foil Plate. Next, I took a piece of patterned paper from the Altenew Blends (Red Cosmos) paper pack and added gold foil with the Fine Rings: Circles Hot Foil Plate. Once foiled, I used the Fine Rings: Circles dies to die-cut all of my circles. The two smaller circles were adhered flat to the panel, while the third was added with foam tape. Finally, I added another of the Bold Sentiments to my panel.
