JAS DT – LET’S QUILT

Thank you for joining me today. Today, we have a great challenge happening over at Just A Scrappin’.

Challenge: Let’s quilt. Make a card. LO or project with a quilt pattern on it. Don’t forget to add embossing.

Supplies
Stampin’ Up Cardstock: Blushing Bride, Whisper White
Patterned Paper: Happier by My Minds Eye
Sentiment: My Creative Time – This and That
Ink: Memento (ME-601 Bahama Blue)
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder: Textile
Ribbon: Michael’s
Punches: Stampin’ Up – Large Oval and Scallop Oval

Card Layers
Base: 5 1/2 X 4 1/4
Layer #1: 5 3/8 X 4 1/8 (white)
Layer #2: 5 1/4 X 4 (Pink)
Layer #3: 1 1/8 X 3 7/8 (Blue)

Quilt Layers
All squares are 1 1/4 X 1 1/4 with a 1/8 inch border around them.

Adhere all of your squares to the base layer (in my picture, the pink). After you have all your squares attached, insert into the embossing folder, leaving the bottom 1 1/2″ out.

When I first got the schedule of challenges we would be doing I was a little intimidated by this week’s challenge. I actually make fabric quilts as another hobby, but could not see how to put them both together. I was extremely happy with how this card came out. I can see making another one in the future. It just goes to prove challenges are great ways to bring out more in yourself. Accomplish things you thought you could not do!

Thanks for stopping by my creation. Don’t forget to stop by Just A Scrappin’ to check out the other designers creations and to add a link to your newly created project!!
